Hi, I’m Monica Lopez

I help ESL teachers simplify planning with leveled, done-for-you lessons.

I started teaching ESL over 20 years ago—before there were Pinterest boards, Facebook groups, or TpT. Back then, I had to create everything from scratch while trying to meet the needs of students who spoke little to no English. It was overwhelming, lonely, and exhausting.

But over time, I found my rhythm. I figured out how to scaffold lessons that worked for all levels, and I saw my students thrive—not just in language, but in confidence. That changed everything for me.

Now, I share what I’ve learned with other ESL teachers—because you shouldn’t have to figure it out alone. Whether you’re brand new or deep in the trenches, I’m here to help you feel supported, seen, and equipped.

Real Teachers. Real Results

  • I would recommend this [ESL Teacher Membership] to teachers who have multi-proficiency students in their classes. It take less planning time and allows for small group instructions.

Hana P., Middle School ESL Teacher

  • The activities are rigorous to prepare them for state testing and are vital for language development. The students were all engaged and on task when working with each other. A teacher cannot ask for more!

Alejandra C., Teacher of ESL Students

  • I used these [ESL Reading Bell Ringers] to differentiate with my ESL students. We have multiple grades in one group and it was so nice to use them in one big group. Same content, just different levels and no one knew the difference.

  • The ESL Teacher Membership is structured like a curriculum, with monthly themes that include leveled Skill Builders, stations, and language activities to support reading, writing, speaking, and more. It includes many exclusive resources that aren’t available in my store. My store offers individual resources, so if you’re looking for one-off activities or specific lessons, that’s a great place to browse. But if you want a full curriculum and ongoing support, the membership is the better fit.

  • They’re designed to be flexible! You can use them as bell ringers, warm-ups, small group lessons, or even sub plans. Each Skill Builder includes leveled tasks for reading, writing, vocabulary, speaking, and grammar—so you can target the right skill without extra prep.

  • Yes! Most of my materials come in three levels—beginner, intermediate, and advanced—so you can support every student without reinventing the wheel. They’re ideal for secondary ESL classrooms where language levels vary.
